Although post-secondary degrees of any kind are important, industry-based certifications are a pathway to earn more money for those released from the penal system. Through our Desktop Learning and Testing Terminals, ATLO provides testing services for most of the major providers and we are constantly adding new certifications as our customers’ needs grow.
ATLO partners with many colleges and universities to safely and securely deliver online education directly to the student through our LaunchBooks. In 2020, the federal government widely released Pell Grants to assist with secondary education and ATLO can partner with inmates to complete the FASFA application to quality for these funds to pursue post-secondary education.
Built on the Moodle platform, our fully hosted Learning Management System (LMS) provides the ultimate teaching tool for instructors. Secure and corrections-ready, the LMS offers course content creation, multimedia capabilities, automatically graded quizzes and more.
Through the use of our Distance Learning System, instructors can safely and securely teach one class or multiple locations. This system has proven beneficial during the pandemic or to offer simultaneous instruction to individuals, groups or students that do not work well together.
Through a special terminal, ATLO partners with Westlaw to provide true online legal research for inmates. We are proud that this service was installed on Death row in Louisiana’s Angola State Penitentiary in 2020.
